Compiling estimating files for new tenders, comprising booking-in, co-ordination of information & issue to suppliers & sub-contractors.
Liaising with sales team, client’s & suppliers regarding information packs / tender return dates.
Preparation of specification and quotation documents.
Preparation of individual costing take-offs for each new project.
Issue of Kirkwood Timber Frame tender returns.
Completion of secured, project job files and handing over to other departments.
Assisting other Estimators / general day to day tasks around the Estimating office.
Working closely with other departments on secured jobs to assist with cost control and specification queries.
Experience in working from, and understanding, construction drawings.
Proficiency using MS office software.
Good communication and relationship building skills
Ability to work well as part of a team but also on own initiative.
Experience in construction or timber frame estimating preferable but not essential.
