We're recruiting: Join the Kirkwood Timber Frame team!

Following significant investment, this is an exciting time to join the ambitious Kirkwood Timber Frame team. Work is about to commence on our major factory expansion in Sauchen, Aberdeenshire which will allow for a five-fold increase in capacity, and Kirkwood Homes is also set to launch multiple new sites across Scotland, which means our volume of work is rapidly growing.

Could you be our next Contracts Manager / Supervisor?

We are searching for experienced timber frame erectors who are interested in taking developing their skills and move into a management role. This would suit someone who is ready for the next step in their career and keen to get involved earlier in the project whilst being able to co-ordinate and manage timber kit erect teams on a site level. Our projects will be varied and range from bespoke self-builds to multi-house sites and apartments.

Your day-to-day tasks would include:

  • Ensure H&S performance
  • Co-ordination and supervision of timber frame erectors
  • Liaison with customer’s construction team and other trades
  • Communicate with wider KTF team and suppliers
  • Regular reporting to head office of progress against plan
  • Source and evaluate potential timber frame erectors
  • Undertake quality inspections and implementing improvements as required
  • Support creation, updating and development of timber kit installation processes

Required skills:

  • Good H&S knowledge and experience
  • Excellent knowledge of timber frame
  • Great communication skills
  • Focus on delivering on time, on budget and to highest quality standards
  • Practical approach to finding solutions to problems
  • Willing to be hands on and be part of and support a close knit team
