Kirkwood Timber Frame names local haulier sole logistics partner

KIRKWOOD Timber Frame has strengthened its ties with leading Aberdeen-based haulage and logistics service provider Dyce Carriers Ltd and appointed it sole logistics partner. The move enables Kirkwood Timber Frame to deliver its timber frame kits to more sites across the United Kingdom and meet the growing demand from builders, developers, and self-build customers.

Initially, Dyce Carriers supported Kirkwood Timber Frame with a large volume of additional deliveries. This included offering timed delivery slots and providing trailers in advance to allow additional time for loading. As demand grew and deliveries increased, Dyce Carriers provided a liveried truck (pictured) and offered to brand it to act as a marketing tool to get the Kirkwood Timber Frame name out on the road.

Business Development Director at Kirkwood Timber Frame, Malcolm Thomson said: “We were keen to speak with Dyce Carriers early on about our growth plans to ensure we had the infrastructure in place to deliver to a wider customer base. We knew we would need additional trailers and would be delivering further afield, along with having to be on various sites at specific times, therefore it was important for us to get this in place with a haulier that could meet our requirements.”
